Pulau Ubin Singapore 2025 - Part 1 - Climbing Puaka Hill

This is my second time visiting Pulau Ubin in Singapore. We took the bumboat from Changi Point Ferry Terminal. Need about 12 people in the boat for the boat to start sailing to Pulau Ubin.
We were a group of 5 people and easily able to have 12 people including some outsiders to fill the bumboat. The boat started in no time travelling to Pulau Ubin. The fare is S$4 per person.

We reached Pulau Ubin in about 10 minutes.

On arrival in Pulau Ubin, we headed straight to Puaka Hill, is about 20 to 30 minutes walk from the ferry.
The entrance of Puaka Hill is just opposite the famous Ah Ma drink stall.

It is not easy climbing up the hill as there are lots of mosquitoes (even insect repellent is not effective fighting off the mosquitoes) and the path is quite narrow with no proper steps. Not advisable to climb during raining days.

Halfway up, we could see the beautiful quarry (no longer in use).

Short video of us climbing the hill, yes I was the one with the red umbrella haha, use the umbrella to support my climbing. It was just only 10 minutes climb but the mosquitoes were feasting on us.
View from the top
After taking lots of photos, we made our way down the hill and stop at Ah Ma drink stall for some fresh coconut drinks.

Behind Ah Ma drink stall is a small stream leading to the sea.

Next Post Part 2 - Long walk from Puaka Hillto Chek Jawa, a decision we almost regret hahaha

Changi Airport Singapore - Canopy Park

Jewel Changi Airport Celebrates SG60: FREE Entry for Senior Citizen to Canopy Park till June 30

As Singapore celebrates its 60 years old birthday this August, there's many promotion and discounts in attractions all over Singapore. One of the promotion is at Changi Airport. Jewel Changi Airport had a free entry to its Canopy Park for Senior Citizen   till 30th June 2025 from Monday to Thursday. (Need bring along Identity Card or Senior Passion Card to show age. Collect tickets on Level 5 near the Canopy Park. This is my first time visiting Canopy Park since Changi Airport opens hahaha.

As we senior citizen do not use most of the activities in Canopy Park (Bouncing nets, slides, etc), the entry fee seems expensive especially when we goes in a group.

Loves taking photo of the water  fall in Jewel, Changi Airport.

Marina One

First time visiting Marina One. It is an integrated development with condominium, retail and offices.
Love the flowing waterfall in the garden. Nice place to take photos. Free admission to the retail and garden. There are many shops, restaurants and a supermarket but weekend some shops are closed. The crowd here are mainly office workers cause Marina One is located in the Central Business District.

Mandai Board Walk, Singapore

Since covid had restricted us from travelling during the pandemic, Singaporean had been walking hahaha. I also started walking and with a lot of new parks and attractiions opening during these few years, make us walk more and admire nature more too.
Took Bus 138 and alight at the Singapore Zoo Stop (the sign shown on the bus screen).
Mandai Boardwalk is the latest boardwalk to open and is near to the Singapore Zoo. After alighting at the Singapore Zoo stop, just looked for the sign that stated Singapore Zoo.

After taking the escalator to street level, just followed the signs that lead to Boardwalk.

The boardwalk is about 3.3 km and stretch from River Wonders and Singapore Zoo.  We walked from Point A to Point C and then back to Point B to exit. The whole walk took more than an hour. Lots of shades makes walking easier. But there's no toilet along the boardwalk but there's toilets near  Point A and Point B.

Vines hanging down to the boardwalk giving lots of shade as we walked along the boardwalk.

Spotted Mandai Treehouse - Mandai Rainforest Resort opposite the boardwalk.

After reading this sign warning of Macaque, we saw a troop of them running along the fences, so afraid  they would snatch my handphone haha.

Bird watch at the end of the Boardwalk
More encounters with animals along the Mandai Boardwalk.
